CR, UDCR, CAPS

I’ve been a kitchen and remodeling specialist for over 30 years.  As my own parents grew older I saw a real need to help seniors stay in their homes.  I love what I do because I help people stay at home and avoid the astronomical costs for assisted living.

National Association of Home Builders Aging-in-Place Specialist
Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) designation was developed by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelors™ Council, in collaboration with the AARP, NAHB Research Center and NAHB Seniors Housing Council. The CAPS designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to evaluating, designing, and completing home modifications for the aging-in-place.
NARI - Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP) was created to train designers, remodelers, and other professionals working with the aging population to have expert knowledge, superior skills, and thorough understanding of Universal Design and to follow NARI's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.

NARI - Certified Remodeler (CR) are professional remodelers who provide a full range of remodeling services. To become a CR, candidates must possess skill and knowledge in a broad range of business management and technical skill areas.
